Communications Specialist

$30 – $32 an hour – Contract position until December
  • Writing documents, talking points, and key messages and/or creating presentations or slides (using MS PowerPoint) to communicate and align updates on operations/tactics and progress on a regular basis in conjunction with the project plan for an initiative and its work streams, mainly through existing channels/webinars/meetings for key stakeholders.
  • Writing/creating one-off notes and slides for special milestones or new/breaking developments on an as-needed basis for various stakeholders.
  • Help to effectively tell the clients story around the work on this initiative, including creating, refining, and protecting our verbal identity with key stakeholders—staff, present and former national and local council board members, council CEOs and other executives, partners/funders, and high-ranking volunteers—via key communications channels.
  • Exhibit a service mindset and work to garner respect from all levels and tenures
